There are 2 types of eclipses, Solar and Lunar. According to NASA, there are 6 events scheduled for 2009. You can visit this link for precise details: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/OH/OH2009.html. However, the last one falls on 31 Dec 2009 and begins at: 05:15 p.m. UT/GMT which actually crosses over to early morning on 01 Jan 2010 in Singapore, which is ahead of UT/GMT by 8 hours (UTC/GMT+8 hours). So, in effect, there are only 5 events scheduled for Singapore during 2009 while there would be 5 more in 2010 including the last eclipse of 2009 indicated by NASA (see: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/OH/OH2010.html). |
